L-gaim profile by zeiram0034 L-gaim profile by zeiram0034
Heavy Metal L.Gaim was one of Yoshiyuki Tomino's top mecha animes from the 1980s. Set in the Pentagona System, L.Gaim took place across various planets and as usual for Tomino shows had a large cast and complex storyline. It stars Daba Myroad, a young man who leads a rebellion against Pentagona's leader, Oldna Poseidal. Daba's not alone however, with a large number of allies and the powerful white mecha, L.Gaim. Although directed by Tomino, the man with the most influence over this show was Mamoru Nagano, who designed both the characters and the mecha. Nagano would later go on to create the well-known Five Star Stories, which bears a number of similarities to L.Gaim. Heavy Metal L.Gaim originally aired on Japanese TV from 1984-85. Three OVAs would eventually follow starting in 1986, the first two of which where compilations of the series with some new footage. The third episode featured an all-new story that took place approximately 2/3 of the way through the series. Although many Tomino shows have been released in the U.S., L.Gaim has never been licensed.

It's an interesting Mobile Suit. It made me think of a Gundam crossed with a Gaza

Show me the way to you! (Heavy Metal)
Lead me now where you are! (Heavy Metal)
Great work here. All I really know about L-Gaim is from what I played in both Super Robot Wars and Another Century's Episode. Still is a neat looking real-type mecha.
