Haven't done anything tech related so I did up a armored solider design to play around with some ideas.
First off I know some of you might say off the bat that it looks like something from halo....and you'd be right.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't inspired by the look of the ODSTs from the Halo series but I also mixed in a bit of starship troopers and a little bit of vanquish as well.
I could see this logically becoming a powered armor design for GUN infantry, like the Paladin is your design for a GUN mecha. While GUN's mech tech lets them stay on top in the larger-scale battlefield, they'd need something to reinforce their troopers when a mech simply can't fit the logistics of a mission (either because it is too large, or its weapons might be too indiscriminate in destroying possible evidence or other mission-critical objectives). This answers that, providing a force multiplier that makes each individual trooper stronger and provides them with full protection against the threat of biological and chemical weapons, and even protection against radiation and other environmental hazards. The helmet would logically be computerized, giving them a HUD with multiple functions and tie them in to GUN Command to unite the fighting force and coordinate them. While the battlefield is always an unforgiving place, this armor grants your regular trooper a better fighting chance and increases survivability.
Oh, and it's a pretty cool design too. I got so caught up in the meta possibilities for the armor that I didn't think to mention I liked it aesthetically too! XD; I like the muted blue-and-white combination of colors too.
